- If you want to get into med school this book is for you! Dr. Ryan Gray is very knowledgeable with his experience with helping students matriculate. He offers great advice and samples of personal statements that are great, and others that are not-so-great, with his personal feedback on how to improve. This is a great place to start if you don't know what to write about, or a great read to try and better the statement you have now.
- I like how detailed this book is. Dr. Gray did a great job specifying concepts I would have never thought about while writing my PS. There’s also multiple examples of personals statements at different times in the process. Highly recommend.

- LOVE this book. You feel like Dr. Gray is your friend, sitting with you giving you heartfelt advice over coffee. His writing is matter-of-fact, doesn't include anything unnecessary or unclear, and makes you really believe you can knock this part of the application out of the park. For people like me who struggle with creative writing that elicits emotion, it's especially useful. I hate fluffy writing, and this guide has allowed me to find the perfect balance between making sure I've listed my experiences and telling an interesting story that will get the attention of adcoms members.
